oh my lanta.
It has been well over 2 months since I last blogged. I have been pretty busy lately. I have been subbing around the school district. Kids are crazy when they have a sub. I have been enjoying it so far but it gets stressful when I have to learn all the routines for different classrooms and schools.
This weekend I will be attending my first Clemson football game as an Alumni. pretty crazy!!! I am too excited though. Death Valley is going to be OOC. If you don't know what OOC means, ask Rachel Curry Burton or Kaci Latrece Rackley.
PEACE. and blessings.
oh and ps- the dead possum in our outside trash can is grossing me out.

I'll never give up on you...
Oh hey. Just blogging on the iPad.
Just want to give a shout out to Kristine...my bff. Wassssup?
Speaking of was sup. I asked one of my summer campers the other day "wassssup?" and he responded by saying "what is up?"
So nothing much going on here in the 843. Just got some new shampoo and sunglasses today. Also, went to starbucks for the first time since April! My sister, brother in law and nephew were in town for the past week. Good times were had by all. We hit up the aquarium, went to the beach, visited the gramps and celebrated father's day.
Today, I saw my dream house. It's a raised two story house with a wrap around porch overlooking the charleston harbor. And it's like 2 minutes from where I get my hair done. Dream....house.
Clemson is pretty hot in the CWS right now.
Do you know what I would love? I would love for a school just to call me. I send my stuff to every school with openings and never hear a dang thing. I need to be a teacherrrrrr.
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

change is gonna come.
hey-o.
I feel like I say that everyday thanks to the wonderful Bryan Burton.
So a few things have changed in my life since I last "blogged". I moved back to Charleston (for good :) ), graduated from Clemson, and started back working at summer camp. okay, well not too exciting of changes. All I want to do is wear my Clemson alumni shirt. I feel like people think I am still in high school. I cannot believe I am a grown-up.
oh, oh, OH! Rachel Leigh Curry is now Rachel Curry Burton. AHH. My Lord. I love saying Rachel Curry Burton. and I love her and her hubby.
Oh again. Cara Adrienne Livingston is now an Auntie like me!!!! Owen Matthew Maxwell was born on graduation day!!! Now, I will always remember his bday!
My, I am not remembering all of these changes. Kaci Latrece Rackley is a Georgia Bulldog! I can't wait to go to Athens to visit! I've never been to Athens!
If I missed any changes in peoples lives, please forgive me.
In the wise words of Senor Allan (my high school spanish teacher)...Palabra a tu madre.
my babyman and my g-pa's dog sugarbear.

all good things must come to an end...
Graduation is a mere 3 days away.
In the wise words of someone's facebook status... On Friday afternoon, I will have to say "I went to Clemson" instead of "I go to Clemson."
But I will get to turn my Clemson ring around, have a beautifully framed diploma, and be an alum of the best college in this great nation.
In other news...I kind of have an interview next week...I just have to call on Tuesday to set it up. I really, really, really want a teaching job. I have just stressed and stressed over jobs and it would be so nice to have one come August. But, on the radio this morning, I heard that the state of S.C. is letting go 2,500 teachers. What the heck? No wonder our state has one of the lowest SAT scores and sucks in general when it comes to education.
Ahh...the real world makes me want to scream.
oh, and a shoutout to Rachel who checks this religiously.

...it's not the storm before the calm
I am supposed to be working on my student teaching portfolio, but I am watching Four Christmases.
I don't want to graduate. I love Clemson and all it has to offer.
Where is the generation gap when an alumnus who spent four years in these hills before the turn of the century says, "Next to my church and my home, I love Clemson University beyond all other institutions this side of heaven" and when a graduate-to-be says, "Excepting only my parents, Clemson has meant more to me and done more for me than anything that has touched my life."
~Joe Sherman
I can't stop thinking about graduation. I don't have a job for August. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in the third grade. I have worked for this...and my dream may not come true because of our economy.

wow, this brings back the high school days...
So, I wrote a blog back in high school. I thought I was so cool then. Ha. How times have changed. How I have changed.
Graduation is in a mere 25 days.
This summer is going to be crazy. I will be trying to get a job, working, traveling to and from Clemson for many weddings, and hopefully going cruising. You know, I just really want to be a teacher in August.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
Peace and Blessings, Peace and Blessings.
